Safety first

Colosseum Safety Guidelines

Safe. Controlled. Respectful.

Before sparring

  • Meet at a legitimate public gym or supervised training environment whenever possible.
  • Communicate your experience level honestly and choose a suitable training partner.
  • Agree on intensity, rules and allowed techniques before the first round.
  • Use protective equipment appropriate to the sport, intensity and gym rules.
  • Do not train while injured, medically unfit or unable to participate safely.

During training

  • Keep the session controlled and respect the agreed intensity.
  • Either fighter can pause or stop the session at any time.
  • Stop immediately if either person feels unsafe or the agreed rules are not being followed.
  • Listen to coaches, gym staff and qualified supervisors.
  • Behave respectfully before, during and after training.

Report concerns

Use the report control on a fighter card for threatening, abusive, discriminatory or dangerous conduct. You can also block a profile on your device. Serious concerns are reviewed through Colosseum moderation.

What Colosseum does

Colosseum helps fighters discover and connect with other people. It does not organize, supervise, coach, referee or control individual sparring sessions.
